"Self defence is more than just a set of techniques; it's a state of mind and it begins with the belief that you are worth defending." - Rorion Gracie

Philippa believes that teaching personal safety, awareness and self-defence should be part of the curriculum. She is delighted to be a part of the RESOLVEit team so she can spread the word to young people and hopefully help to equip them with life skills that will empower them and help to take them forward.

Philippa has had experience in a range of teaching positions including work with challenging young people, teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) and primary fitness education. She holds a BA (Hons) in Business & Marketing, a Trinity College teaching certificate and two self-defence instructor qualifications.

When she isn't working, Philippa enjoys Muay Thai, CROSS Krav Maga, Yoga, being outside in nature and spending time with animals.

Philippa is passionate about self-defence and helping people realise that they are worth defending.

"Symudais i i Gymru yn 2018 a dwi wedi bod yn dysgu Cymraeg am ddwy flynedd. Dechreais i weithio i RESOLVEit yn gynnar yn 2020 a nawr, dyn ni'n cyfieithu ein adnoddau, gweithdai a gwefan i’r Gymraeg.

Dw i'n caru fy ngwaith i a dw i'n teimlo yn angerddol tuag at hunan-amddifyn a dw i'n credu "mae gan bawb yr hawl i deimlo'n ddiogel".
